Secure file transfer

Send us files, safely.

Some of what passes between a group and its administrator should not travel by ordinary email. This is the encrypted route for it: enrollment files, carrier paperwork, and anything that carries a name, a Social Security number or health information.

Please do not email sensitive files

Ordinary email is not encrypted from end to end, and a message sits in several mailboxes for years. If a file holds Social Security numbers, dates of birth tied to names, medical or claims information, or bank details, send it here instead. If you have already emailed something like that to us, tell us and we will remove it from our side.

Upload through our portal

Files go over an encrypted connection into storage that only Benefi staff can open. You do not need an account, and you will not be asked to create one.

How it works

  • Open the portal with the button below. It opens in a new tab.
  • Add your files. Drag them in, or choose them from your computer.
  • Say who you are and which group the files belong to, so they reach the right person.
  • Send. You get a confirmation, and we are notified straight away.

Open the secure upload portal

The portal is hosted by a third-party secure-transfer service and opens at its own address. Look for the padlock in your browser before adding anything.

What belongs here

  • Employee census and enrollment files, including any that carry names or SSNs
  • Carrier documents: renewal packets, rate sheets, group applications, contracts
  • Invoices, billing statements and reconciliations
  • Qualifying-event and COBRA paperwork, and anything else that identifies a person

A census without names or SSNs can still go through the census route. If you are not sure which to use, use this page.

Prefer to talk first?

If the portal does not suit your IT policy, or you are not sure what to send, call us and we will sort out a route that does.

Email us to ask for help, not to attach sensitive files.

Good practice on your side

Send only what is needed

If a column is not required for the task, delete it before you upload. The less personal information a file carries, the less there is to protect.

Do not put secrets in the filename

File names are visible in notifications and logs. Use the group name and a date, not an employee’s name or number.

What we do with files after they arrive, and when they are deleted, is set out in the privacy policy. You are responsible for having the authority to share your employees’ information with us.
